Molecular Biologist
Job Description
Reproductive Genetic Innovations, LLC (RGI) is a pioneer in the field of preimplantation genetic testing, with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Working with approximately 200 centers and clinics around the world, RGI has continued to see growth in their volume of cases and patients. RGI is looking to fill a role for a full-time, on-site Molecular Biologist to work as a part of our laboratory testing team. This person will be trained to perform clinical casework, efficiently complete gene mutation detection, and identify copy number variants using NGS technology. They will work as an integral part of our staff to complete patient testing in an accurate and timely manner. This position reports directly to the lab supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, or other relevant field (M.S. preferred)
- Previous experience working in a molecular laboratory setting required
- 2+ years previous NGS experience
- Basic knowledge of Windows and other IT
- Knowledge of basic genetic concepts and terminology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals
- Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Skilled in prioritization, multitasking, and critical thinking/problem solving
- Curiosity, creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to learn quickly
Benefits
This position will pay $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for employment benefits after completing 60 days of employment at RGI. Benefits include: health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, paid vacation days, and participation in the 401K plan. Flexible schedules available.

Embryologist – Part Time
Job Description
This position reports directly to the Lab Director.
This position will include, but is not limited to oocyte retrieval, IVF inseminations, IUI inseminations preparations, egg/embryo handling and scoring, ET/ FET, ICSI, AH, biopsy, cryopreservation/ thaw, cryobank management, and QC/QA. The Embryologist will be responsible for demonstrating sufficient competency in basic embryology and andrology procedures needed for In Vitro Fertilization.
Responsibilities include the following:
- collecting and preparing oocytes for insemination;
- analyzing and preparing specimens for insemination or for ICSI;
- assessing fertilization and zygote quality following insemination;
- daily assessment/grading and handling of embryos through Day 6 of in vitro culture;
- biopsy of embryos for PGT testing
- cryopreservation and thawing of embryos at varying stages of development;
- preparing embryos for intrauterine transfer;
- ability to contribute valuable ideas to the laboratory and physician team in reference to the status and appropriateness of clinical specimens;
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in biological science.
- 2+ years experience in a clinical IVF laboratory
- Computer proficiency

Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA)/Case Coordinator
Job description:
RGI is looking to fill the role of a full-time, on-site Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA)/Case Coordinator. This position serves as a primary liaison between patients, their IVF clinic, and the team at RGI.
As a GCA/Case Coordinator, you will be working directly with patients and their referring providers to make the logistics of preimplantation genetic testing as simple and seamless as possible.
This position reports directly to the Genetic Counseling Team Manager.
Duties Include:
- Implementing patient care plans by coordinating information, consents, and continuing care requirements.
- Recording and managing patient intake forms, clinical requisition forms, patient medical information, and billing information in our medical database.
- Working with RGI’s Financial Department to facilitate the patient’s financial plan by communicating fee schedules, initiating payments, and providing claim information.
- Performing Insurance Benefit Checks, as needed.
- Maintaining RGI’s databases, calendars, and medical records with reminders and alerts to organize daily tasks such as consultations, DNA sample collection kits, test results, payments and other clinical documentation.
- Responding to and triaging phone and email inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals.
- Acting as a liaison between physicians, patients, and clinical staff to provide top-quality patient service throughout the entirety of the PGT process.
- Collaborating with other clinical staff to resolve issues impacting patient care progression.
- Providing recommendations for process/service improvement to promote patient satisfaction
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong genetic background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong email communication and customer service skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
